Why do children need extracurricular computer classes? Today’s children: ☼ only receive one hour or less of direct computer instructions per week at school ☼ do not have sufficient opportunity to build the competence and confidence they need to master Technology Literacy Tomorrow’s children: ☼ need to be comfortable with new technology and skilled in its application ☼ need to develop a user-friendly relationship with the computer so they can gather, analyze, and exchange information quickly and accurately ☼ cannot afford to be left behind on the information highway
